Frequent Questions & Answers
We care about your experience with us at Cornwall Physio. What makes us different from other Physio or Sports Injury Clinics, is that we believe in the power of hands-on treatment. We are committed to finding the root cause of your condition and not just treating your symptoms. We understand that each individual is unique, with different lifestyles and goals.
We take care of this bit for you. In your first session we’ll assess what’s causing your symptoms and will ask exactly what you would like to achieve. We’ll design the most suitable combination of treatments and number of sessions based on your symptoms and the outcome you want to achieve.
Our promise to you is you will leave our clinic knowing exactly what is wrong, how long it will take to fix and exactly what needs to be done.
Regenerative therapy is one of the most advanced and innovative treatments available today, designed to heal your body at a cellular level. Unlike traditional treatments that often only address symptoms, regenerative therapies target the root cause of your condition, helping your body to repair and recover naturally.
At Cornwall Physio, we are proud to be one of only a handful of clinics in the UK offering cutting-edge regenerative therapies. Our advanced treatments include both Focus Shockwave Therapy and EMT (Electromagnetic Therapy), which allow us to effectively treat a wide range of conditions, from acute injuries to chronic pain in joints, bones, tendons, ligaments, and nerves. The combination of Focus Shockwave and EMTT therapies is unique and powerful. These therapies complement one another, enhancing the overall effectiveness of treatment and delivering faster, longer-lasting results.
Cornwall Physio is for anyone who wants to be active, healthy and energetic in the long term. Our clinic is particularly suitable for people who struggle with pain that stops them from living life to the full. We work with motivated clients of all ages, from 10 to 100!
At Cornwall Physio, we understand how frustrating it can be to feel like nothing has worked for you in the past. That’s why we focus on providing clarity and a clear plan to achieve the best results. In your first session, we take the time to understand exactly what’s causing your symptoms, how it’s affecting you, and most importantly, what you would like to achieve.
Our unique Heal, Move, Perform framework ensures we don’t just provide fast relief when you’re in pain – we also address the root cause of your condition and create a plan to keep you healthy in the long term. With cutting-edge treatments, such as an Anti-gravity Treadmill, Focussed Shockwave and EMTT, and a team of expert clinicians, we tailor a personalised treatment plan designed for your unique needs and goals.
Whether you’ve struggled with chronic pain or lingering injuries, our expertise, technology, and clear approach help you finally get the results you’ve been looking for.
Please check your policy and give us a call to confirm as we may need to book you in with a specific therapist or for a specific type of session so that you can definitely claim back from an insurance company. We do not do any work for insurance companies where we are required to invoice them, as historically we had problems with late payments or under-payment.
If your insurance company usually expects the clinic to bill them directly, we recommend that you speak to them and explain that you specifically want to be treated at Cornwall Physio. You probably pay lots of money for your private healthcare (in addition to the excess fees) and therefore deserve to be able to choose the best level of care when you need it. We have found that most companies will accommodate you if you ask them directly, especially if your Consultant or Doctor has specifically requested treatment at Cornwall Physio.
Our approach is always tailored to you. We will put together a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs and goals. We have sessions designed to help you on every step of your journey, from healing to getting moving, to keeping healthy for the long-term. We are proud to have some of the best Physiotherapy facilities anywhere in the UK and provide a unique offering of cutting-edge treatments. You can trust us to stay ahead of the curve with the latest Physiotherapy techniques and equipment, to bring you the best results possible.
The results can vary depending on diagnosis but it is our promise that if you visit us regularly, complete your treatment plan and follow our advice, you will see improvements. We don’t believe in temporary fixes here, our whole ethos is about providing you with a long term solution. Our Heal- Move-Perform framework works perfectly to achieve fast relief when you are in pain, while ensuring that we address the root cause and keep you healthy into the future.
