About Cornwall Physio
“We Help Active Adults, Athletes And Runners In Cornwall to Move Better, Stay Active And Keep Doing The Things They Love, Without Frustrating Aches and Pains.”
Lead Physiotherapist Lou Nicholettos, founded Cornwall Physio in 2010 and since then has grown an amazing team. We’re lucky to have some of the best physio and rehab facilities available anywhere in the country here in Cornwall.
Lou says “I wanted to create the kind of clinic that I would love to go to… where you’re given amazing treatment, are really listened to and made to feel like a superstar!”
Cornwall Physio has become the ‘go-to’ clinic for back pain and sports injuries in the South West. We love helping people of all ages to stay active and keep doing the things they love.
In simple terms, we help you surf, swim, or whatever you enjoy doing without painkillers, or worrying about aches and pains.
We work with elite athletes, as well as grandparents who want to run around the park with their grandkids. From sports enthusiasts eager to get back on the field, to 70-year-old daredevils with new knees and hips cycling from Land’s End to John O’ Groats, we cater to everyone—regardless of age or performance level.

Does This Sound Like You?
If it does, rest assured you’re not alone. At CORNWALL PHYSIO we hear this all the time… People who come to see us often have:
- Had this issue for weeks, months, maybe even years.
- Thought the pain would go away on its own - but it hasn’t.
- Been to the GP numerous times, only to be told to “rest” and “take some painkillers”.
- Had to sit on the sidelines, miss competitions or bail out of races.
- Thought resting would help, but it's made the pain/stiffness worse. Or, resting did help, but the pain came back when exercising again.
- Bought expensive new trainers or walking shoes, but the pain is just the same.
- Waited six months for a 10-minute appointment with an overstretched NHS physiotherapist. Then two weeks for a follow-up appointment – whilst getting more and more frustrated by the downtime.
- Have an extensive collection of foam rollers, acupressure mats, support bandages, special insoles, resistance bands or tennis balls. But still, the pain continues.
- Tried every conceivable type of remedial exercise on YouTube. Still, nothing makes a noticeable difference, or the pain got even worse.
- Been convinced by family and friends that aches and pains and slowing down is a natural part of getting older.

What Other People Just Like You Are Saying About Cornwall Physio

February 2024
Have spent time on the treatment tables with Lou, Anush, Sophie and Rob, all have been first class, listened and tried to understand me and have taken the time to explain why they carry out the treatment to help me understand how I can additionally help myself. I’m still work in progress, but happy to have help from the highly professional team at Cornwall Physio.

I presented with a lot of pain from gluteal spasm and nerve pain, and was allocated Sophie as my physio. Ever positive and cheerful, Sophie assessed me and treated me with vigour! The addition of dry needling 4 weeks later had an additional impact, and by week 6 my pain had changed to a soft discomfort. Thanks Sophie for the physio, Rob for the Needling and Dawn for a cheerful reception, always. If I wasn’t moving to Dorset I’d still be attending Cornwall Physio.

Saw Anush for the first time today and he couldn’t be any more helpful. Really friendly, polite staff with a very thorough service. Doesn’t end when you walk out the door as I was given exercises to help my own specific needs at home and for my work. Receptionist also very helpful and friendly. Top marks
